Appearance: Deep amber brown body is crowned by a massive, somewhat coarse light tan head, with very good retention. . A broken and irregular ring of lace adorns the glass walls.
Aroma: Massive aroma of roasted malt and cinnamon apples. There is a moderate aroma of sweet alcohol, as well, with bitter chocolate and coffee. With some warming, cinnamon and caramel advance to the fore of the taste.
Taste: Opens with cinnamon and apple notes, soon followed by roasted malt. Soon after there is a strong surge of caramel and molasses, and mild warming alcohol. Midway through the taste, the toasted caramel vie with the cinnamon and apples to dominate the taste. Largely, it is a draw. Late in the taste, the roasted malt and cold coffee flavors dominate. Cinnamon and spicy alcohol bring the taste to a close.
Mouth feel: Smooth and full, very soft, quite pleasant.
Drinkability/notes: A very unusual example of a dessert beer, I would really like to try it with apple pie. i would think it would also pair well with spiced cake, or gingersnaps.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a Unibrouie La Fin du Monde chalice, , served at The Lake House.. 1803:07182021

Poured from a can into a snifter glass
Appearance – The beer pours a nearly pitch-black color with a one finger head of brown colored foam. The head has a very good level of retention, very slowly fading over time to leave a ton of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is robust of cinnamon apple smell, almost like a apple cinnamon oatmeal like smell. At the same time there is a decent showing of a roastiness, with notes of toasted and roasted malt, coffee, and a little bit of chocolate. With a strong caramel and brown sugar smell, a very decadent, almost caramel apple lollipop like dessert aroma is produced overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a dark roasted malt taste that is strong of apple sweetness from the start. Along with the roast is a bit of char and a touch of cocoa. With the apple comes a little bit of cinnimon, with the cinnamon growing quite a bit stronger as the taste moves on forward. All throughout there are flavors of molasses and caramel as well as a bit of toast and doughiness. Toward the end the roast and cinnamon seem to get a bit stronger and with a little bit more coffee and some alcohol, one is left with a sweet and toasted a caramel apple like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and creamy with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the imperial stout and dessert like characteristics of the brew the feel is great and makes for a nice sipping dessert like beer.
Overall – A very interesting Twist on an imperial stout. The apple really delivers a candy like quality to the brew. Overall a nice warming dessert brew.
