Style: Imperial Stout
ABV 12.6%

A Star Wars Themed Beer, oh heck yeah. This beer is clocking in at a high ABV. Using a tulip glass, I served the beer at around 54 degrees. The pour created a creamy one-finger light tan head with below-average retention. The quick dissipation left no lacing on the glass. I was charting the color around SRM 30 dark brown with muted garnet hues. The appearance is just okay for this style.
The aromas are muted to a degree. I smell dark roasted coffee, spicy rye, mild chocolate, raisins, caramel, dark roasted malts, earthiness, molasses, and some floral esters.
The flavor is rye, medium-roasted coffee, mild chocolate, raisins, caramel, dark roasted malts, earthiness, molasses, floral esters, and earthiness.
The mouthfeel is coated and thick. The body is medium-plus, has a medium-low carbonation, and has a long pleasant finish.
The rye flavors are bright and spicy. I am giving this beer a wonderful and unique profile. I am glad that a brewery is willing to try something different and succeed at it. Great beer.

No canning date. Poured at 52°. One finger of creamy tan head with rocks; good cap retention; medium ring; some spots of lace; black with ruby see through; medium legs on swirl. Sweet chocolate malt and mild roast coffee nose. Sweet chocolate malt, light bitter roast coffee an afterthought; dryfinish and aftertaste. Silky feel, medium plus body; moderate minus carbonation; some warmth from 12.6% abv. Nothing bad, I just think it’s too sweet, lacks coffee and is unbalanced. One and done. Another overhyped beer from Tavour.

Purchased a can at a local grocery store. Poured into a tulip glass. Rich dark brown, brief brown head and light lacing. Pleasant mocha smell and taste. Earthy, slightly spicy rye flavor up front followed by a mello coffee and chocolate finish. Hint of harsh toasted malt.
Nice treat. Like the name and can art!

Dark with creamy head that dissipates quickly but leaves a light lacing. Strong scents of rye and coffee over roasty malt. Taste is sweet and malty with strong coffee notes. Medium bodied, strong alcohol buzz, mouth watering, no thickness or oiliness. Pretty damn good, and better than rated, I think.

Pour is black with a thick head. Fades quickly to a little cinnamon cap on the glass.
Nose is a wave of coffee upfront followed by spicy rye, hint of alcohol.
Taste is coffee follows by rich dark chocolate, spicy rye. A hint of fudge, vanilla.
Thick, creamy body.
