A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short light tan head that quickly settled down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and a small patch of bubbles on the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of cocoa nibs and vanilla bean are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has additional flavors of dark malts, chocolate and lactose.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found the taste of this stout to be rather complex with the variety of flavors.
Serving type: can

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a nearly deep brown color with a one finger head of light brown colored foam. The head has a great level of retention, with it slowly fading to leave a tone of ring lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is massive of a milk chocolate and rich caramel and toffee sweetness. Along with these aromas comes big crème and toasted malt and oat smells mixed with lots of brown sugar and some nice boozy liquor smells. With a nice bit of vanilla as well as a touch of smoke, a very inviting and sweet roasted smell is produced overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a very sweet milk chocolate and roasted malt flavor with lots of vanilla and crème. A rush of brown sugar and caramel greet the tongue, remaining rather strong throughout the taste. At the same time the roasted malt gets slightly lesser in nature, taking on a sweeter brown bread like taste as the flavors advance. All the while, the chocolate intensifies and is joined by flavors of some nice boozy crème liquor flavors, leaving one with a rich, almost chocolate liquor like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and creamy with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the rich chocolate flavors the thick feel is fantastic, coating the tongue with all the wonderful tastes and making a more dessert-like feel.
Overall – A big and rich, chocolaty dessert stout. Quite tasty and robust!!
