Oak age stout with chocolate, peanuts, and vanilla bean.

We're always on the hunt for delicious stouts! With Squatch Tracks we've loaded our favorite imperial milk stout with notes of vanilla, fudge, and peanut at 13% AB V. The result is a flavor blast reminiscent of rich chocolate, peanut butter cup candy and a swirly sweet vanilla, all boldly featured throughout an imperial oak aged stout. You'll want to track down this latest version of Squatch and capture it in your glass.

Pour is black with no head.
Nose is roasted peanuts, chocolate, hint of vanilla
Taste follows. Big roasted peanuts up front, wave of vanilla, subtle chocolate. Hint of oak. Hint of alcohol heat.
Smooth creamy body.

Deep brown pour. Not really a head at all.
Nose is very nice with some peanut butter. chocolate, but mostly the former.
Taste is nicely flavored with the peanut butter. Vanilla at the end. A sweet coffee-like note as well, but dark. Sweet big milk stout, but there’s roasted peanut butter and roasted notes with woody hints from the oak aging that keep it balanced and from going overboard.
Feels medium-bodies, full and slightly chewy.
A very nice stout. I’m just not sure what their ABV is because they list 2 different ones….on the back of the can, the description indicates 13% abv., yet right below that beside the pairing notes it indicates in even larger lettering that it’s 11.8 abv. That’s not good proofreading, to say the least. If it read 12.8% I guess I could go with figuring they rounded up when they mentioned abv in the main description, but we’re talking a full percentage point and then plus a little more….. Other than that confusion, and the beer’s stale appearance in my glass, pretty good!
