Pours caramel color, thick with a modest head. In the glass, it looks much darker than when poured. Aroma is deep coconut. Taste is coconut, with chocolate and vanilla. I can taste the marshmallow about midway through the taste. The profile fades quickly but is satisfying. Reminds one of a chocolate coconut creme dessert.

Aroma is coconut, toasted/roasted malts, chocolate and slightly nutty. The flavor is coconut , chocolate, dark malts and a mild/medium sweet/acidic/coffee finish.

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a deep black color with a one finger head of tan colored foam. The head has a light level of retention, fading to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a chocolate coconut aroma mixed with coffee smells and some notes of vanilla and marshmallow. Along with these smells comes notes of cocoa nibs and some roasted malt aromas.
Taste – The taste begins with a big sweet flavor of roasted malt and some chocolate cake. Along with these tastes comes notes of vanilla marshmallow and some flavors coconut and crème. As the taste advances the coconut gets quite a bit stronger while the roastiness fades a bit. Toward the end a touch of coffee comes to the tongue and with the rest it leaves a chocolate coconut crème taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to slightly thicker with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the style and the taste, the feel is awesome and makes for a nice slow sipper.
Overall – A rather fun brew to try overall. Good flavor with a nice feel. Not quite a Hostess Snowball, but a good alcoholic liquid alternative.
