Murky dark orange, no carbonation at all. Strong mango, orange, pineapple, and sweet vanilla on the nose. Taste is very mangocentric. Notes of dragon fruit and tart pineapple on the finish, a bit of a consistent sweet vanilla presence as well. Thick, medium bodied, booze is subtle. Good, but not among the better fruited kettle sours I’ve had.

Berliner Weisse
903 Brewers
Tiki Stand
Date: unknown
I question if this is a Berliner and not a kettle sour. 903 has created some unusual combinations; some are tasty, and some are eh. The beer is served in a tulip glass at around 38 degrees. A foamy and airy light orange head was created from the pour. Bright orange with yellow hues is the color. This beer is thick and opaque. The head retention was poor, leaving bits of fruit on the glass. The appearance is average for this style.
The first aromas are pineapple, passion fruit, vanilla, and mango. Nosing the glass several times, I detect wheat, bread, and sugar. Tropical fruits are ripe and juicy.
Pineapple and mangos are the dominant flavors. Sipping the beer further, I detect vanilla, sugar, crackers, passion fruit, and a subtle lemon note.
The mouthfeel is creamy and thick. The body of the beer is heavy and low carbonation. The beer finished sweet and slightly tarty.
The only thing missing from this beer is Rum. The fruit combination is fantastic. It is hard for me to detect the dragon fruit. Dragon fruit is a delicate flavor, and I think it gets lost in the other competing flavors.
