12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left sticky patches of lace on the glass. It smelled of pineapple, orange peel, resin and sweet caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is very malty and bready smelling with lots of grain and some aromas of a dank pine and herbal aroma. Along with these smells comes notes of a light orange citrus as well as a little bit of pear and apple.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and grainy taste mixed with a decent showing of a pine and grapefruit hop as well as a little herb. There is a little bit of harvest fruit and orange upfront, both of which fade rather quickly. At the same time the hop gets stronger with the pine taking on the most strength. Some caramel and toffee get a bit stronger at the end, all while a hint of wood and booze come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather malty and moderately hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is average. For the dank and hopped up tastes, mixed with the big malt, the feel is great and makes for a slow sipper.
Overall – A rather malt heavy and decently hopped-up IPA. A pretty good brew that isn’t the standard citrus heavy brew. Rather fun to try.
