Pours black as a bat cave, with little to no carbonation whatsoever. Aroma is wood, whiskey, chocolate and vanilla, but the wood is prominent. Taste is sweet, very sweet, with wood, whiskey and ABV foremost. The ABV here is no joker with a 13% rating that will keep those atomic batteries charged. For any late night foray into this brew, this brew provides the wham bam and pow to any enjoyment of this stout. Bat-tastic!

Drank 2/9/24. No bottle date, but a recent purchase / release.
Pour is jet black with a cinnamon colored, loose, fizzy cola like head. No lacing or retention.
Nose is oaky bourbon, fudgey chocolate, bourbon soaked fudge
Taste is quite unique. A hit of bourbon followed quickly by cinnamon, spices, marshmallow. quite sweet. I don't know if it's flavor from the Amburana wood, or if it's just a very sweet beer. almost holiday spice flavor profile, but not quite. certainly not that prominent; not like a christmas or pumpkin spiced beer....again, very unique.
smooth body, creamy, carbonation is low; maybe a bit too low.
