Formerly Victoria's Gold American Style
This cream ale is delicate, virtuous and light-bodied. The mild and toasty malt base is perfectly balanced with subtle hops that hint at the flavors of stone fruit. The mouth feel is wonderfully creamy with a satisfying dry finish.

Per style parameters, I think that this is a very good effort. At the brewery into a shaker, pours a warm translucent yellow gold, minimal head and lacing. Nose has toasted bready and cereal malts, corn, faint herbal hops, and the taste carries it all forward. Mouthful is medium to light, with substantial body (for the style) and finish is moderately dry. I’d take this over spotted cow.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. Stamped on bottom of can (double stamped, which affects legibility) '09/23/17'.
Deep gold colored body, clear. Slight ring exists after settling. A couple of spots of lacing, nothing really.
Aroma of corn malt.
Taste of toasty malt and mild bittering hops. Still has the corn taste following the aroma.
Thin mouth feel.
Seems to be dominated by corn malt aroma and taste.

L: copper amber pour with a mild haze under a 2" light cream colored foam cap with moderate retention
S: smells like light corn, light fruit (apple to pear), a trace of spicy hop and a hint of scrambled eggs
T: The flavors start fruity - primarily apple to pear - seasoned with lightly sweet corn, light bread crust, and some cracker and finish mildly tart and slightly dry.
F: The body is medium light and the carbonation is medium
O: This is a light, flavorful and not over powering cream ale.

Deep gold color, 1/2" head disappears quickly. Sweet, bready aroma and taste. A bit of welcome complexity in taste and smell. Sticky feel helps the flavors linger. A good cream ale.

Enki Victoria's Gold pours a clear dark gold color. The head is small and recedes quickly into minimal lacing. The aroma is malty with a lot of caramel for the style, there is a faint bready character in the background that I would like to come out more. The taste is a little less caramel forward than the aroma, but pretty similar otherwise. The mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with a velvety texture, and moderate carbonation. Overall, this isn't a bad beer by any stretch of the imagination. It is simply a boring beer that I will be skipping over in the future.
