Copenhagen 4/2-2018. 50 cl bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Simple black label with Flying Couch' fairly weird logo and the name of the beer.
Pours deep brown - almost black - with a beige head. Settles as a patchy layer of uneven foam with big bubbles. Massive lacing.
Aroma is strong, sweet and intense. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, molasses and brown sugar. A little roastiness as well.
Soft carbonation and a soft, oily, thick palate.
Flavor has strong sweetness but nicely balanced by prominent coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is fairly bitter and heavy.
A true winter beer - heavy, well balanced and thick.

June 2018: Shared 500 ml bottle. Black colour, tan head. The aroma has mild roasty malty notes, chocolate and mild coffee, moderate vanilla. Lovely roasty flavour with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla, a little lactose sweetness.
