Copenhagen 20/10 2019. 33 cl can from Østerbro Vin & Spriitus (formerly Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel), Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. They really try to play the Lennon sounds like Lemon on the can with John Lennon wearing half a Lemon as hat.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as flimsy, almost transparent patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet and with a lemonade-like tart, citric twist. Oranges, Maraschino berries, Sugar. Citrus fruit with an acerbic touch.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a quite strong saltiness. Moderate bitterness rummaging in the background. Aftertaste is sour and salty at the same time. Lingers for a while.
Balanced between the sour-sweet and the salty as I suppose a Gose should be. But I fail too see why they had to involve John Lennon in this.
