Copenhagen 10/5 2019. 33 cl can from Vin de Table, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh NV. Unsharp landscape painting on the can. A Danish landscape I assume.
Pours opaque, very dark brown with small off-white head. Disappears more or less leaving a thin rim of foam along the side of the glass.
Aroma is not particularly strong. Sweetish with chocolate, vanilla and a prominent presence of alcohol. Gets a bit stronger as the beer warms up.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, sticky and creamy texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness tinged with vanilla. Only very moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy bite and more subdued hints of bitterness. Lingering.
Fine Imperial Stout with a healthy punch. Could use a bit more punch in the nose. But it is not too bad to be Danish if I can sip one of these.
