Pours an unfiltered copper color with a creamy oatmeal colored head that provides splotchy lacing as you drink the beer. Looks great in the glass.
The nose includes a little resiny pine, some tangerine, and a bit of peach plus a significant caramalt note. That is also where the taste lands, with a nice bitter and some alcohol warming. The malt works well with this beer.
A full, drying mouthfeel fits the beer. This indeed fits the double pale ale style, despite the Imperial IPA moniker.

Absolutely loved this beer. Super hoppy with lots of fruit, finishes with carmel. Wish I could get this one in stores.

A - Orange-brown body, clear, with a light white head, persistent. Big lacing.
S - Hop of fruit, interestingly reminiscent of strawberries, with a very sweet malt note behind. Floral elements suggesting a bouquet.
T - Bright hop hit, fruit in the form of mango and passionfruit, with a middle that brings the malt to the fore, sweet in the form of caramel and burnt sugars, then a close emphasizing the bitterness and a hint of biscuit and bread.
M - Acidic open. There is a slight heaviness, a slick chewiness, that survives the drink. The drying in the close is moderate, but not punishing.
O - A very pleasant, and big, DIPA, with lots of hops and some surprising notes. Solid flavor, good feel, and a really novel nose and beautiful color. Alcohol hides quietly behind, present but not punishing.

A deep caramel color with minimal head. Mild aroma with a little citrus and a lot of sweetness. Flavor is very sweet with some darker fruit (plum?) and just a little citrus. A little lingering bitterness but still pretty smooth with only a little alcohol coming through.
