Gamsbock, shamsbock, I am not sure how much bock this weizenbock is. I don’t get too much bock in there. But maybe ai should be looking at it the other way around: while it does taste and feel like a weizen, it is not truly a traditional weizen - it is somehow a bit more round, a bit sweeter, a bit less aggressive and obtrusive on the yeast, and actually it IS quite nice and drinkable! As I am not a big fan of weizens, I thought this might be the type of wheat beer I can actually drink without feeling sick. It is a nice beer with an interesting amount of carbonation. Good one!

Pours dark hazy golden, big foamy head that you need to fight through.
Smells awesome, perfect banana, clove and warm booze.
First sip brings huge candied banana chips, with lots of caramel and honey; the malts may be sweet, but also heavy with wheat (not cloying tho). Some yellow pear and apple too. Big floral notes, apple and orange peel, and lots of clove. Low lemon zest, just enough to make this beer fresh and a bit crisp. Booze is nicely paired with the fruity sweetness and hidden by the wheaty malts. Hops in the finish, mildly bitter.
Goes down like a perfect weizen. Aftertaste consists of caramel/honey and warm alcohol, but not too much.
A perfect weizenbock, really tasty.

It's color is a bit richer and browner than their flagship Weizen offerings, yellow golden hues still shin prominently through. A big white head with a bit shorter retention than one would expect blossoms, releasing an overflow of bubble gum and yeast. Flavor carries heavy bubble gum flavors, followed by some zest and heavy tones of clove and banana. To be honest, its doesn't taste remarkably different than their flagship Weizen. Alcohol is not present. Flavors aren't as sharp as they are in their normal weizen and the yeastiness comes stronger through. I was hoping for a bit more, but its still a good beer.
