Bought this beer for about 30 cents at 50% off. For such a price it was surprisingly good, a very decent helles, the only thing that stood out was the carbonation in excess but a few minutes into the beer it was not so disturbing anymore. Very easy to drink, on the contrary it didn’t have too much of a distinct taste. Still, it is a good beer enough, was glad that I bought it, was a steal for this cheap.

.5L emptied into a Pokal.
A: Pours gold with a fluffy 1-finger white head which quickly receeds to a thin ring. Some lacing.
S: Sweet grainy malt, citrus-like hops, wet hay.
M: Light bodied with decent carbonation.
T: Weak malt, very mild hops. Dry finish with very little in the way of aftertaste.
D: Typical pale lager, rather boring and one-dimensional, but refreshing just the same.

Sampled while on a ski vacation, this brew came in a standard brown half liter bottle with a fairly plain white and gold label featuring the Austrian flag and an archer (Schützen) on the seal. Purity law applies. Best before 7/05, I opened it in late February.
Pours a slightly green-tinged clear gold under a one finger white head that fizzles immediately to nothing. There's lots of malt in the nose, with bready notes. The mouth is very prickly and quite light. The taste is plain and non-descript. There is a good malt base, but this goes nowhere from here. Quite unremarkable, or in fact noteworthy in its blandness. The label promised a fine bitterness, but it must be too fine for me. Sweet, bready, and that's it. The malt aftertaste lingers. Frankly, I'm looking for more.
