Pours a cloudy (may have jostled the bottle), gold colour. Smells like fruits and yeast, white grapes, clementines, slightly tart, and a little spicy. Tastes light-bodied, mellow tangerine upfront, the tart-sourness builds up, subtle hops, slightly dry, earthy and pepper-y finish.

this was a total bummer for me, i had such high hopes for it. the name and the idea and even the packaging are all so fantastic, but the beer just is not at all. maybe its too young, but im not sure how quickly this one is evolving, its not exactly brand new at this point. its a yellow straw colored downright milky weird near flat brew, really thick and somewhat unimpressive to look at. it smells alright, quite funky, some brett in here, some musty wood, some of that summery hay thing, baled and up in a hot barn loft someplace. the yeast is weird though, a little white winey, but more simple saison type it seems, overpitched and not cleaned up enough. this is yeasty to a fault. the comet hops are rad though too, juicy and slightly limey, its a nice flavor with the sturdy wheat malt and earthy hay in here. its summery sure, but its off on the yeast, stale tasting, not wild enough, and with way too much body for how flat it is. it just is the polar opposite of what it should feel like on the palate. feeling pretty bummed about this bottle i was so stoked to try, frustrated it was so expensive, and overall something to avoid, at least for a year or more. so much promise, so little delivery...
