Pours a clear gold-yellow colour. Strong boozy peaty aromas reminiscent of a scotch whisky. Sour and smoke play a surprising balance to this beer; bit of sweet cherry upfront before the peat kicks in, pale malts and summer fruits briefly then a balanced smokey finish creeping up from the midbody and lingering into the finish. Hint of smokey bacon but not much. A fun and different take on a style of beer.
