this is a really cool beer, on tap at the brewery. it is one of the best beers i have had from these guys, and certainly the best i have had in this funked up series, which has been up and down to say the least. its real orange in the glass, pretty murky but the color is bright, short white head on top. its a sour with apricot and tropical fruit, and for me, i get mango and pineapple and citrus on top of the apricot, all juicy and fresh tasting, but the apricot is certainly in the lead here, fuzzy and ripe and really authentic in the nose and the taste. the sourness is only moderate, tangy enough to sort of dry out the sweet fruity aspect, but not so acidic as to break it down at all, it actually serves to extend the fruit, and even enhance the apricot, i think the flavor profile here is excellent. the beer feels a bit thick to me though, heavy in body, somewhat unrefined, and lacking a bit on the carbonation, all of this leading to a somewhat less drinkable beer than we might otherwise have, but the forwardness and naturalness of the fruit is great. the sourness is clean, front end tasting to me, like a berliner, a quick lacto thing, pretty clean, lacking some complexity. overall a good beer and a lot better than some of the others in this series, uniquely flavored and fresh with the fruit. had no problem drinking a big glass of this one, hopefully its a sign of things to come from these guys.

Hazy honey gold colour. Tart squishy nose; fragrant apricot aromas, orange blossoms, meye3r lemons, and jammy pineapple. Tart and juicy body, squishy. Clementines, apricot, jammy marmalade notes, pineapple, mango, white grape, and generally light and crisp. Passionfruit and gauva finish, with citrus peel and a hint of straw. Dry finish, a little tannic.
