Conceptually hailing from Barbados, this stout is on the drier end of the tropical stouts. Loads of roast and black strap molasses lend notes of espresso, treacle, fig, and dried plum finishing with a solid whack of booze and spicy, orangey hops. Best drank at room temperature for the full ‘hot’ experience. Lactose free!

Tap pour at the taproom. Served chilled in a nonic glass.
Dark brown colored body. Tan head with tiny bubbles. Leaves behind wide webs of lacing.
Aroma is faint with roasted malts.
Taste is sweet with roasted malts, molasses, and dark stone fruit. Citrus hop kick towards the end. Malts grow bolder in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Bitterness is more like a slight char. Good carbonation.
Good exposure of the barley malt.
