A 330ml bottle with a BB of Jan 2015. Picked up a while back from Trembling Madness in York. Named after Ravi Shankar.
A: Poured into a tulip. An orange-amber hue with light carbonation. Yields a decent head of white foam that lasts for a few minutes before collapsing to a patchy surface layer.
S: Aroma of fruity hops and caramel malt with hints of subtle pine resin, citrus peel, spice, grass/hay, faint grain, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Slightly sweet.
T: Tastes of aromatic hops and caramel malt with a stinging bitter finish. Notes of pine resin, weed, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, spice, grass/hay, grainy caramel malt, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Faintly sweet, followed by a vigorous hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with effervescent carbonation and good body. Hop oils stimulate the palate. Pretty astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, caramel and earthy yeast.
O: A tasty brew with some serious bitterness. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are a solid blend of caramel malt and fruity, piny hop notes. Good body. Goes down a treat - a satisfying English IPA with a nod to the American style. Worth a punt if you chance across it.

Coming in a 330ml slim brown bottle, BB date unknown, served mildly-chilled in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: pours a bright amber colour with great clarity, mild carbonation, and a thin light-beige head to last.
S: an acute tinge of candy-ish, burned-sugary and buttery sweetness from the malts and diacetyl dominates the nose, on top of secondary notes of ripe melons, peach, sultanas, and sweet citrus more like Cascade or Styrian Goldings hops. Like “Citra” from the same brewery, the diacetyl contributes considerable sweet buttery elements to the nose, making the aroma somewhat unbalanced.
T: softly fizzy, the entry shows mainly apple-ly, flowery and citric fruitiness on a par with semi-sweet pale malts, soon engulfed by an assertive wave of aromatic bitterness with much undertones of Styrian Goldings which develops fast to overpower all other residual flavour elements, rendering a semi-chewy and dry-ish bitter finish.
M&O: not particularly smooth, this slightly fizzy beer remains medium bodied and shows a pretty decent performance of the hop bill, all in all a zesty bitter IPA very easy to drink, despite the buttery interference on the nose (which is, surprisingly, hard to pick up on the palate).
