A: Amber body with a slightly off-white head.
S: Resinous piney hops.
T: Syrupy. Yup, on the sweet side for an IPA. A fair amount of caramel flavour. Also loads of perfumey hops at the fore. Also some nice earthy dirt. It's kind of a piney version of Fuller's Golden Pride. More bitter though.
O: Would be interesting to have on cask.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of May 2014. Purchased recently from Trembling Madness in York. The label mentions that this IPA contains various hop varieties from the Yakima valley in Washington state.
Poured into a Delirium chalice. A clear coppery-orange hue with good carbonation. Yields a smallish head of frothy off-white foam that lasts for a minute or so before settling as a patchy surface layer. Aroma of nutty caramel malt with notes of pine, grapefruit, peel, citrus, grass/hay, faint tropical fruits, mild grain, stewed hops and earthy yeast. The hops are somewhat understated for an IPA of this strength.
Tastes of spicy aromatic hops with a malty backbone and a powerful bitter finish. Notes of pine resin, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, grass/hay, stewed hops, subtle caramel, mild grain and earthy yeast. Well-attenuated and slightly nutty/roasty, followed by an intense hoppy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry and tingly, with decent carbonation and good body. The hop oils tantalise the palate. Somewhat astringent, with an aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, pine, nutty grain and faint yeast.
A pretty good stab at an American IPA. Looks OK, though improved head retention would be appreciated. The aroma is rather underwhelming - hoppy but not hoppy enough for the style. Flavour is good with plenty of hop bitterness in evidence, and the body is satisfying. Pity it isn't conditioned with live yeast, as this would surely add depth to its character. Overall, a tasty brew that goes down nicely enough. Worth sampling if you come across it.

On tap at the Brewing + Distilling Convention, Dublin.
Lumpy eggshell head over deep amber.
Light orange hard candy nose with brown sugar - faint overall.
Graham crackers, a bit of apricot jam then resin, pine and blood orange hops.
Wood spice finish and oily linger with long sustained bitterness.
Medium, sticky, round.
Citra, Columbus, Cascade, Simcoe, Chinook, Amarillo, and Willemette hops.
Malted like a double IPA. Not enough aroma, which seems absurd given the hop bill and presuming that a keg at a festival is fresh. Sweet and bitter with not much in between.
