MARCH 2023 - American Pale Ale hopped with Slovenian Styrian Bobek hops and American Citra hops.
On the nose fruity aromas of citrus fruits and ripe yellow pulp fruit.
Fairly thick foam.
Color tending towards orange.
Light body in the mouth aided by a lively and pleasant carbonation.
We find the taste of citrus fruits (blood orange, grapefruit, citron) and some notes of tropical fruit.
The finish is pleasantly bitter, not excessive but clearly perceptible.
A slight bitter note remains on the tongue, while citrus scents echo on the palate.

330 ml can, as Beerbliotek Bobek Citra #5 American Pale Ale, from the Norwegian importer (I could swear I had rated this beer before, but apparently not). ABV is 5.5%. Cloudy yellow colour, huge white head. Lovely aroma of citrus and tropical fruits, also spruce. Fruity hops in the slightly sweet flavour too, also piney bittering hops.

12oz can. Served in a snifter glass. Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange body, one finger white head, fair retention, plenty of lacing. Smell is light caramel, touch of grain, slight grapefruit, a bit of pine resin, mineral. Flavour is fairly straight-forward, touch of grain, grapefruit, caramel and a bit of resin on the finish to add a bit of bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium-lighter bodied, pretty standard pale ale fare, mild resinous finish. A decent daily drinker APA, nothing too remarkable about this one, especially when compared to the offerings found locally in the US.
