L- Dark mahogany brown. Poured with minimal haze as most sediment left in bottle. 5mm pale tan fine-bubble head that's holding very well.
S- Decidedly toasty and malty.
T- Toasty, malty, quite pungent on both aspects and plus a touch of coffee. Then into a somewhat hoppy-dry finish.
F- It's 6.5% yet comes over as more than that, there something about the pungency of the deep malts that adds notable impact.
O- It's somewhat different and distinctive. I see from their website that the brewery was founded 8 years, and their total capacity is a mere 1,000 litres. So I'm surprised to see the lable is in Dutch/French+English. I'm also a bit taken aback to see 'Organic/Bio' marked on the lable, but 'sugar (organic)' amongst the ingredients. It would be part reassuring to think that was to allow the bottle reconditioning but then you start wondering how much of the 'malty richness' is down to sugar... IDK...

Day 18 of the advent calendar 2019.
A nice looking beer in the glass. Deep brown color and lots of head; great aromas of bread and malt.
Tastes like a Belgian ought to. Very smooth for a high ABV beer, as well. Delicious.
