BrauHaus Brewery

I searched this out when in Tirana in June 2017 and we found this to be an unexpectedly good brewpub. It has only a small range of beers - on tap were 4 (Helles, Dark, Bock, and "Rose" - apparently a slightly darker lager, like a Vienna or Marzen) and they had a couple others not on tap at the time, while all the beers were standard types. However, this is a great option and variety given that very few places in the entire Balkan region, not just Albania, brew anything other than standard pale lagers and occasionally dark lagers. The quality was unexpectedly good - the Helles and "Rose" both being particularly good. Food was overall excellent - a typical Albanian mix of traditional Albanian/Balkan foods and Italian dishes plus some general European-type dishes, burgers, etc. Service was good, efficient, and enthusiastic, the bartender automatically offering generous free tastes of all the beers on tap without us even asking. The place was large but nicely decorated in an ersatz-German style, ceiling fairly low to keep it from being cavernous, nice seating niches, and at basement level, making it pleasantly cool.
