Traditional Ale
Like for more than 120 years, the legend of the Lost Dutchman mine has haunted the minds and souls of treasure seekers throughout the world - about as much as finding a way to put a stroopwafel into a beer has haunted us. That shared desire brought about this unique collaboration between Lake Time and Gezellig. Together we found the perfect pairing of wafer cookies and caramel goodness from the Stroopwafel with the rich malt flavor of a Dutch Ale. We hope you find it to be the treasure you’ve been looking for as well!

Poured from 12-ounce can into a "snulip" glass. An aggressive pour yielded a couple of fingers of thick off-white foam atop a light reddish-brown body with a ruby highlight or two. This is exactly as advertised, with big aromas and flavors of stroopwafel. Caramel, vanilla wafer, and a hint of cocoa and citrus, with light roasted malt and some nice bitterness. Medium bodied, with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a bit of lingering fruity sweetness on the finish. Overall, a very good beer that delivers what it promises.
