Now we’ve taken our beloved Imperial Stout and infused it with toasted coconut! Poured from 12-ounce can into a stemless wine glass. Deep black in color, with a thick tan head. Good retention, with some spotty lacing. Metallic aroma on opening the can, which faded as it warmed a little. I'll try to put the best spin on this. Flavors of dark roasted malt and char up front, a little sweet, quite boozy. Mouthfeel is oily, with some char and roasty bitterness sticking to the palate. This sample seems a little out of balance, with the booziness and char overpowering the much lighter notes of dark fruit, molasses, and coconut. Time to let this one go.
