L- poured at the brewery in a 10oz tulip glass. Beautiful amber-orange color with a off-white head that disappears after a bit but came back nicely as I continued to agitate for the smell.
S- I think this is where this beer shines. Every sip I would agitate the beer and get a HUGE whiff of fruity, citrus hops. SUUUUPER enjoyable. I would liken it to Deschutes Red Chair NWPA with even more of a nose.
T- Great balanced flavor. The only reason I scored this category relatively low compared to the rest, is because I did not taste the rye all that much. While I could slightly detect the rye at moments that was few and far between for me. Maybe its just me?
F- Just what I want for the 6.0% ABV. Medium-light body. Carbonated very well, which allows for an easy drinking IPA.
O- So far my favorite Butcherknife brew. Unfortunately it is a small batch beer that is kinda pricey for a 10oz pour. But great job and I hope they continue to brew this and eventually scale it up for a full production batch, with a touch more rye in the grain bill.
