We brew this beer in the traditional German lager style known as Maibock. The beer is deep golden in color, full bodied, and has a nice spicy hop flavor. German Saphir hops were used for all hop adds, along with a German Munich lager yeast.

Pours a clear, amber/golden color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of yeast, sweet malt, a hops. Fits the style of a Maibock / Helles Bock. Mouth feel is smooth and clean with an average carbonation level. Tastes of earthy malt, sweet malt, yeast, slight hops, and slight floral. Overall, an average Maibock.

Presentation: 18oz pint glass; this is listed at 5.9% abv

Appearance: Ever so slightly hazy dark golden beer with a thin stark white flim from a weak bartending pour.

Smell: Mild sweet fruitiness and toasty caramel

Taste: Vague tart fruit, mild caramel malt; this ends juicy and crisp; this is tasty but plain, and shows just a touch of alcohol

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied

Drinkability: Decent

Conclusion: Tasty but nothing special.

A - Poured an amber color with a good deal of carbonation. It had a one-finger tan head that didn't leave much in the way of lace.

S - It smelled of biscuity malt and slightly grassy.

T - It had a sweet smooth malt flavor with hints of clove and a bitter hop kick.

M - It was soft and creamy. A medium-bodied beer.

D - This is another solid seasonal from Flat Branch. Nicely done.
