Weizenbock is a hybrid of weizen and bock styles with the higher alcohol associated with bocks. Our version uses the Kristalweizen yeast which gives the beer a clear, rather than hazy appearance. A small amount of crystal malt was used for color, and hopping is low to allow the malt and yeast flavors to predominate.

A - Poured a somewhat cloudy, reddish, copper color with a pillowy, tan, one+ figner head.

S - It smelled very malty and of wheat/yeast.

T - It had a burnt toast maltiness, wheat flavor and a spicy hop kick. It was spicier than most other wiezenbocks that I've sampled.

M - It was crisp and sharp. A medium-bodied beer.

D - This is quite easy drinking despite its relatively high ABV(6.9). Overall it is quite good.
