Our American Hefeweizen brewed with unmalted wheat which gives the beer its white tint and slight wheat flavor. In addition we added orange peel and coriander to the brew, for a refreshing, distinctive, and yet light beer that is perfect for the hot summer.

Pours a cloudy, orange color. 1/5 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, pale malt, slight caramel malt, citrus (orange), and slight spice (coriander). Fits the style of Witbier. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of orange, slight sweet malt, hint of pale malt, and a hint of spice. Overall, good aroma and blend, but a very strong body for a Witbier.

On tap at the same time as their American Hefewiezen.

A - Poured a cloudy, very pale, straw yellow color. It had a two-finger, white head of bubbly foam. The long lasting head left some sudsy lace.

S - It smelled of lemon. Other than that it lacked a lot of the witbier aromas I expect.

T - Lots of lemon flavor, some spice and wheat. Not much fruitiness or yeastiness.

M - It was crisp, sharp and light bodied.

O - Aside from a confusing name like American Wit, this is just an okay wheat beer. I could see it being a good started brew for those new to craft beer.
