We affectionately call this one BIPA. This true English I.P.A. is made with premium malt, only Goldings hops, and a special British yeast culture. Fruity aromas mix with the floral hops to greet your nose as you raise a pint of this brew. The bitterness is huge, yet it is crisp, dry, and clean.

A - Nice brownish-amber color with a very thin head (could've been the bartender's work). It left no lacing.
S - Smells of hops and citrus.
T - There is a slightly malty taste. The hops were not as strong as they smelled.
M - It was light-bodied and crisp.
D - It is a pretty good version of a English IPA. Like most beers at Flat Branch it is quite enjoyable.

My recent go-to ale when heading out to this favorite local brewpub.
Pours a dark amber with a 1 1/2 finger canvas colored head, though it does depend which bartender pours it for you. Served in a 20 oz. Imperial Pint glass, which is appropriate for the style.
The head doesn't stick around for as long as I would want for this style, but it does leave a lace with "sip counter" rings as the level goes down.
Smell has a slightly floral charater, the hops really come through on this one.
The taste is dominated by the hops, slightly citrusy, bittter with just a hint of the malt. Inexperienced drinkers might call it skunky, but that is just the hops coming through.
Medium body, the carbonation keeps it a bit lighter than one might expect. Would love to try a Nitro version of this.
Would not call it a session brew, but I have gone a session or two with it as my primary libation. A hop head's drink of choice at Flat Branch.

This copper/amber ale had the best head and lacing in the house. Aroma was mostly from its hops. Flavors were English hops and weak malts, kept the mouth feel on thin side - but was helped a little by the carbonation. No diacetyl. Mild bitterness in aftertaste.

Bright glowing golden copper in color, clingy foamy head, nice lacing. Mild flowery aroma of hops. Smooth and mild english hops, some malt flavors, light body and very easy to drink, clean finish, very mild english IPA, medium bodied nice crisp bitterness in the finish.
