Dark golden with a generous head, aroma is restrained malty, initially powerful malty and lingering hops, this has a strong memorable flavour which leaves you wanting more.

Bottle from Ireland courtesy of Shell. It's an English ipa. Not really my prefered style so my review could be a bit biased. Hazey orange put with normal sized white head. Aroma of sweet malt with a touch of English hops. Taste is noble hops with a lingering bitterness. Dry effervescent finish. Nothing to write home about but a well done English ipa.

Only gave this a 3.6 last July but my taste buds have evolved to a different level now. I agree with StJamesgate I could session this all day. Might not be extraordinary but still a fine IPA. Bottle courtesy of daughter Tara.

A - Orange/copper with a thin wisp of a head. Also it's slightly hazy with less than expect carbonation bubbles.

S - Some traces of hops, I'm struggling to pick up any other aromas.

T - Lovely orange and peach fruits, tangerine, a very slight grassy spiciness.

MF - Quite thin, and as I said less carbonation than one would expect.

O - It's a nice little beer, but not something I'd get too excited about. I'm somewhat disappointed.

Chill-hazed rusty orange with a finger of off-white head that leaves wispy trailers.
Lots of orange rind, resin, and pine forest floor on the nose.
Fair dose of caramel doesn't last long before OJ, chutney (apricot + spice) and cedar hops cut in.
Fruity finish and powdery linger.
Lt-med, plenty of chew, round.

I'm calling it an English IPA because the brewery does but with Chinook and Willamette, I'm not sure how that fits.

Big things come in small packages: this one could slip by you until you realize how much hopping (47 IBUs) is packed into a 4.5% beer. Correctly not an APA or English Pale, with plenty of gooey hop resin. The hops being Goldings and Fuggles descendants, there is an English spice depth to the hop character. It's not quite full enough, but I'd session this all day long.
