a big sturdy imperial stout with organic coconut added. i almost cant see this beer without the coconut now, its not super intense in here or anything, but it sure adds a lot, and seems sort of integral to the success of the beer overall to me, like it would be missing something if it were absent. its shiny black from the tap with a short but creamy and lasting little off white head. aroma of toasted coconut, nearly burnt coffee, and a little alcohol even when its cold and just poured. slight vanilla and dark cocoa elements too from the grain, and some pleasing and balancing bitterness that is there in the flavor too. it main success is that its not too sweet but the coconut comes through the beer, more natural than some of the forced ones out there and i like that a lot. this however isnt perfect, the body feels a little thin for what it is, the malt flavor is a little one dimensional, and there is a slight tannic thing in here, way down, but its there. i let the coconut make me happy about the beer overall though, and its very good on the whole. i couldnt drink too much of this, but i enjoyed it. the coconut is integrated beautifully.
