Bottled sometime in 2020 (consumed (4/19/21): An English style Barleywine with all Morris Otter malt and aged for a year in Bourbon barrels. Nose gives just a whiff of chocolate; cloudy deep orange hue with no head, but has just a bit of lacing; medium mouthfeel with muted soft carbonation; taste has up front caramalized date/fig with alcohol; chest warming; finishes with an unexpected bitter semi-dryness followed by a bit of salaciousness candi malt. The barrel aging exhibits itself in the finish.
