On tap at the Modern Times brewery. This is the coffee stout with the added flavors as noted. Smooth, silky mouthfeel. Black color in the tall tulip with a brief foamy cap. Just a slight prickle of carbonation before it dissipates altogether.
Warm and totally roasted flavors. Lots of dark and slightly charred malt. Some coffee notes but it's not overly java-ed up. Slight bitter edge but not what you'd call hoppy. After it warms, the coffee aroma is quite powerful. The vanilla is quite pleasant once it makes its appearance. A drinkable and warm, richly flavored dark brew with a pleasant restrained spicy flavor.
