Look is a light, somewhat cloudy shade of orange. Smells, honestly, really good. Everything promised in the description comes through in the nose. Tastes is similar, but with more focus on the spice and the smoke. Definitely an interesting beer, and for how ambitious it was, it turned out well.

L: Uniformly hazy & modestly cloudy yellow/light brown with a small head that quickly dissapated completely and left no lacing.
S: Primarily funky, sour, turned pineapple. Fainter hints of lime and smoke. I think this a pretty nice gentle aroma for a sour.
T: Tart, sour pineapple but wow here are all the chili spices, blends in nicely and heats things up just right. The smokiness and lime again come out at the very end.
F: Medium, medium-level spicy heat, no bitterness, salty, sourness really feels just right with the level of heat.
O: A whole lot going on with this beer! Definitely could be more smoke, otherwise they pretty much nailed what they set out to do. With the fruit and heat, it reminded me a little bit of that Man-Go-War beer that won Beerland Season 2, but this is certainly a level above in pretty much all aspects.

On tap at the Belmont Fermentorium.
Hazy yellow. Smoky, spicy, mildly green. Cooked spicy peppers, delicately smoky. Palate is tart, smoky and spicy. Beautiful blend of heat and smoke. Mildly watery, which is the only negative. Sourness is mildly lactic. This beer does stand apart.

On tap:
Pours mostly yellow and fairly hazy. Thin ring of tiny white bubbles is consistently replenished, no lacing.
It the nose I get the sour and the pineapple, mainly. Deep inhales bring the light smoke out from obscurity.
Carbonation is quite light and the sour notes don't attack the tongue too much, but the beer totally doesn't seem flat up front, though maybe a little bit that way by the back of the tongue.
Lemon more than vinegar sour notes jump from the lightly salted liquid. Pineapple is recognized more initially than after I get into it. The smoke is not individually detected by me, though there's something else non-sour at the edges of this beer that gains a little strength near the throat.
I would've liked a little more obvious notes of smoke or pepper, though I might be getting them as that indistinguishable note, and wouldn't want them overpowering the beer. I do feel there's room in there for the extra notes, though.
