Bottle poured into a Willi Becher. Near opaque dark brown, foamy brown head settles into thin cap and collar.
Aroma is boozy rye, sweet vanilla and roasted malts.
Flavor is rye barrel forward, vanilla bean, sweet vanilla and some dark fruits.
Moderate carbonation, a bit lighter than what I expected from the appearance.
Good blend of flavors, the walnut is a bit lost. Picked it out as a general nuttiness as it warmed.
