I believe this is from 2017? Enjoyed at the start of June, 2021.

From the bottle. Pours a nice amber-auburn/tan-yellow. Foaming dissipates, but upon closer inspection there’s a lot of life in the glass. Barrel aged and blended, with some warming oaky, cherry notes and a touch of alcohol on the back end. Smooth sipper, light and crisp, with just enough acidity on the finish. I think the added years treated this one kindly.

Cellared bottle. Pinkish red, mostly clear, no head. Smell is backed by acidic oak, with notes of cherry, red grape, barrel funk, light fig, cranberry skin, flowers, and of course port and red wine. Potent! Taste also doesn't mess around, bringing up the same set up but with more botanicals and berries. Brighter than smell let on. Feel is the only qualm, it is great souring from the oak, reminds me of some great alvinne beers, but the acidity is a little much to truly dive into more than a sip, which the flavor makes you want to, also on the thinner side, but plenty vinous.

Pours a rich amber color with undertones of violet. Bottle from SD toronado.

Aroma is of lactic acid, sweet berry, citrus, and funk.

Taste is truly great. Reminds a bit of a brighter version of consecration. Lots of dried fruit but mixed with a bright citrus character. Not overly sour but still ample present. Red wine barrel character so present. Honestly amazing.

Overall, I had this beer at toronado at steak night. I had to stop eating and just sip this for a bit. It did pair great with the strawberry cheesecake. It gets a 98.5/100.

a unique blend of three different sour beers, aged in port and red wine barrels, brewed up special for toronados 30th anniversary! stoked to have found this one on tap, it pours a fizzy light amber color with a lot of bubbles but not a ton of head. the aroma is really sour, mouthwatering almost head jerking, bacterial but clean, sharp though and pervasive here. i get the port right away, sweet and concentrated red grape with notes of cherry, walnut, plum, and fig, mature and oaky too, really nice counterpoint to all the sour, adding a needed richness where malt doesnt seem to be bringing it. red wine barrels add some more fruitiness, cranberry and blackberry, but its not all that dense or intense, and for me, the port is in front of the red wine. heaps of wood and acid, and a tart cherry complexion as well, specific. medium body made thinner by all the sourness, better carbonation than it looks like it should have, and a lot of cool character from the barrels. this is a neat idea and a neat blend. modern times has really impressed me lately!
