22 oz bomber gifted from Donald Trump into New Belgium snifter.
Pop! Deep chocolate brown-black with a brown-beige head of 2 fingers.
Oh wow! this nose is heavenly. Tootsie Roll. Coffee-dusted brownies. Rich fudge squares. Vanilla pods. Yum!
Flavor on the contrary is not sweet but rather impeccably balanced. Tons of lovely coffee that's peppery but not too much, balanced with chicory and vanilla beans, giving off an au latte type of vibe, and a lovely shade of brown malts with slight rye spiciness.
Feel is creamy and medium bodied, just as a rye porter should be, and even though from the flavor you'd expect thicker, it slaps you back into reality and tells you this is just how it should be.
Overall, wowza. This is one hell of a porter. I hope they brew this again. Thanks Donald!

Beautiful porter. Not gonna BS with how it pours and what the head is like because I drink from the bottle. Strong flavors, great kick. Very smooth and enjoyable. A must if you have access to it and you're a fan of porters.

Picked up a bomber from the Craft Beer Quick Stop 12-30-17 for $8.99. Bottled on date was smudged but appears to be 11-21-17. Stored in the beer fridge since purchase.
Beer poured dark brown with a very nice off white head that is leaving some lacing behind.
Nose is coffee forward with chocolate and rye spiciness.
Taste is coffee forward with chocolate and crystal malts combined with a health dose of rye based malts lend a nice spiciness through the coffee and chocolate. The brewer used a healthy amount of hops for a nicely balanced beer.
Feel is medium bodied and very smooth.
Overall this is a very smackable beer that i would recommend to coffee infused beer lovers!

On tap. Pours dark black with a half finger head that lingers and leaves a thin ring of lacing. Nose of coffee, roasted malt, and vanilla. Taste follows the nose with coffee, vanilla, and roasted malt before the ABV and oak provide a dry finish. Full body and low carbonation with the alcohol starting to sneak through as the beer warms.
Strong coffee presence that enhances the beer without taking away from the full body. The coffee is the forefront but hasn't taken over the beer completely. Very tasty and worth it.

A: Beer pours a dark brown almost black body with a bubbly light tan head. Solid amount of head retention while drinking. Nice amount of lacing lingers as well.
S: Inital smells from the bottle are of rye and vanilla. The coffee aromas become more apparent as the beer warms.
T: The sweetness of the chicory are more noticeable up front that they were on the nose. Vanilla mixes well the chicory. The rye flavors are there but only faintly.
M: Beer has a dry finish for a porter. Thinner than I want in a beer this style.. Carbonation levels were good while drinking. Easy drinker but overall too thin and watery.
O: The rye notes mix well with the coffee like flavors. However, the mouthfeel of the beer is it's downfall.

Dark brown with a bubbly tan froth. Black coffee, brown sugar and vanilla in the aroma. Black currant, espresso and plum on the tongue. Finishes with a lingering bitterness. Medium in body and dry. Well carbonated.
Not as involving as expected, but I'm definitely going to find room in my belly for the rest of it.

Bottle dated MMDDYY into a snifter.
L: Pours near jet black with 1 finger of medium density khaki head with good retention and left ringed/windshield lacing.
S: Nose is mute but nice, roasted malt and coffee.
T: Far more dynamic than the nose and quite tasty. Coffee forward, with roasty attributes taking second fiddle, the rye is there but subtle. Finishes with some bitterness that lingers a bit.
F: Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, creamy on the tongue, very pleasant and easy drinking.
O: Great coffee porter for my palate and preferences. Rye is subtle and the beer is scary easy drinking. Loved it, will be grabbing more if its still on the shelves.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Smell of chicory, coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Tastes of coffee, chicory (both which remind me of actual coffee in New Orleans), rich chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, and peppery rye notes. Medium heavy and full body with medium-light carbonation. Overall an incredible porter.
