Monsters' Park - Bourbon Barrel-Aged - Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup

Very good Imperial stout except I probably would have given it a 5 had the maple flavor been a little less, it's not my favorite flavor for beer. Don't remember where or when I had it.

 

 

 

Dark black body, one finger mocha head, short retention and no lacing. Smell is sweet milk chocolate, brown sugar, whiskey, maple, even a little bit of dark fruit. Sweet all the way through, but not necessarily cloying. It serves as a very nice dessert beer, serving up a thick bodied, appropriately creamy and just carbonated enough to make for a nice finishing beer. It's sweet, but if you already know about the individual components, this is not a surprise.
