Even cold, Monster's Park BA Nitro with Coffee is terrific - rich, creamy, with a warm, roasty coffee nose and taste. I don't like the price tag on these cans, but I love the format - and the beer is pretty fantastic.

Monster's Park pours an oil black with a 1/2-finger, tan head that's thick with no lacing retention. The smell is big roast malts, maple, coffee and dark chocolate, the bourbon is evident on the nose. Taste is big and bold, bourbon and molasses/maple dominate. It takes a moment for the coffee to show its presence with a hint of dark chocolate. Full, heavy and smooth with a slight alcohol burn, leaving an oily finish on the palette

Poured from fridge temp into a snifter. Pours motor oil black with very little head. Bubbles lace the glass. The nose is phenomenal. Reminds me of Bourbon County coffee. Tons of roasted malts, chocolate, maple, toffee, black licorice, and dark fruit. The bourbon is perfectly placed on the nose - dominant but not overpowering. This is one that I could just sit and sniff for hours. Taste follows the nose, but with a lot more coffee. This is somewhat unexpected, but is incredible. This is a nice dark roasted coffee with some bitterness from perhaps being a bit over-roasted. Still, this merges seamlessly with the bourbon, chocolate, and maple flavors. A bit of smoke and black licorice is there on the taste. Some cherries dipped in chocolate also come through. Mouthfeel is super thick and creamy, which isn't surprising given the 14.2% ABV. Overall, this is a monster of a beer, and I love it.

Pour is black, with a decent amount of leakage to brown on the edges and a dark tan head that never reaches critical mass (and I poured this like I was told there was a $1 million bill at the bottom of the can).

The nose has rich dark chocolate notes, the slightest bit of coffee, and a ginormous barrel component. The barrel is prominent on the taste as well, and the dark chocolate is phenomenal, but I’m not getting any coffee.

The mouthfeel is a bit thin, which is surprising for a 14.2% ABV beer. This is very good, but my rating falls significantly short of the other reviews - and I am “The Notorious BIG” of overraters.

Look: Pours dark brown and settles pitch black. Doesn't put on the show that other nitro stouts do, such as Left Hands milk nitro stout, but it does start to bubble and form a nice tan head. Throughout the entirety of drinking the beer, the nitro help keeps a small but present head on the beer. Minimal lacing, but clean and appetizing presentation.
Smell: Roasted malts, chocolate, molasses and bourbon initially. Coffee becomes more pronounced as it warms, as does chocolate and dark fruit aromas. The bourbon still present on the nose as it warms, but it meshes better as it reaches room temp. Even cold though, the beer smell fantastic.
Taste: Bourbon molasses and chocolate really dominate the flavor. Slight coffee presence on the finish, along with a dark fruit sweetness. But man, as it warms, this thing is tasty. Full of malt and chocolate flavor with a healthy bourbon presence. This beer does not skip on the bourbon notes. As I swallow it, it provides the warm feeling. At 14.2 abv, it gets you right. Some caramel and butterscotch notes as well. Man this is good.
Feel: Pretty awesome. Full, heavy, smooth and silky. Heavy in weight and full in body, yet creamy and almost buttery. This thing is thick. Drink smooth with minimal bitterness. Some alcohol bite from the bourbon, but its welcomed. The nitro makes it so soft and smooth.
Overall: This is very much worthy of a try, despite the hefty price. Can't say I have had a better nitro BBA stout. It's pretty incredible. I am very grateful to have tried, and would buy again. Very smooth and easy to drink despite being 14.2 abv. Cheers!
