Can from the Belmont Fermentorium. Brewed in Portland, canned 26 July.
A clear orange, a little darker than I was expecting, with a dense, white head with excellent retention and lacing this looks good. The nose is soft and doughy with a little cracker and a rather disharmonious malt blend, with a simpler, sweeter flavor somewhat clashing with a more rustic , doughy note. This is exacerbated by the rather rough hop character, more orange than the classic lemon notes, and a touch of pith. Not particularly light or vibrant on the palate, this does feel a touch rough and flabby. Crisply carbonated, which, while welcome, does clash with the palate. Halfway there, this beer is disappointing yet decent. I'd probably seek out a fresher can.
