22oz bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring around the edge
S- the nose is heavy with chocolate and dark fruits; rum soaked raisins and figs, black cherry, dates, even some port-like aromas coming through. Undertones of char, black licorice, toffee and molasses
T- Rich and malty up front with equal parts caramel and chocolate, followed by some dark fruity notes of dark cherries and plumb. Mid-palate gives some caramel sweetness, as well as molasses. The finish is pure rum soaked raisin that lingers long after
M- medium-heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that continues into a viscous, warming finish
