500 mL can into a nonic pint glass
Dark brown appearance, little carbonation, almost no head. The nose is of toasty, roasty, grainy notes. Charred oak brackets the bouquet.
A little more chocolatey on the palate, with honey sweetness balancing out the astringent aspect of the roasted malts. Medium finish, drier than expected.
Not really sure why this a ‘Baltic’ porter, but tasty and drinkable all the same.

Very dark brown, near black, with long-lasting foam in the nonic. Lusciously sudsy, which goes well with the darkness. Nose of cocoa and roast grain. Slightly sweet, with the lingering notes of honey and a touch of burnt sugar. Tastes of bitter chocolate and caramel, but not very charred.
Modest bitter aftertaste, but not hoppy tasting. Rich and flavorful, though perhaps on the mild side for a Baltic style. HIghly drinkable with plenty of the distinctive winey note. MT can make excellent beers in less-usual styles, when they want to. From the tall can purchased at Bine & Vine.

Can from the source.
A very dark brown with a dense, brown head with good retention and lacing. The nose is solid with a fruity malt character, light brown sugar, honey, a little toast. Light roast. Not as robust as the best. The palate opens fruity, lightly sweet with caramel, toffee, dark honey to go with the dark fruit notes. The mid-palate is soft, creamy with light milk chocolate notes. Lightly creamy finish. Solid, clinical.
