We circled up with the excellent folks at Burgeon Brewing to throw down this totally excellent DIPA. Built on a simple grain bill of pilsner malt, white wheat, and flaked wheat, this beer was hopped with over 3lbs per barrel of Galaxy & Strata. The finished beer sports a vibrant bouquet of tropical dankness followed by notes of papaya & pineapple and rounded out with a subtle bitterness that brings the whole thing home in an immensely pleasing fashion.

Can poured into a Modern Times Beer glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy pale khaki head that settles to a light layer and leaves some nice lacing.
S: Tropical and stone fruit, some citrus, floral, grassy, faintly spicy, biscuity bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, papaya, mango, and a little guava, ripe citrus, big orange, plus some lemon and lime, floral, some spicy grassy notes, biscuity bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate. Definitely some alcohol warmth, not overwhelming, but it doesn't need to be there in an 8.4% DIPA.
O: Two solid breweries + two great hops should have been a winner, but this one is good, but also kinda meh.

A: Very hazy gold with rich white foamy head and thick white lacing.
N: Tropical notes with citrus and a dank essence and some wheat notes.
T: A nice tropical splash with some zesty citrus then a decent bitterness hits followed by some dank undertones. As the beer warms it takes on a rounded profile.
M: Medium feel with a lasting bitterness on finish.
O: A good beer but I wish the soft side shined thru a little more to balance out the bitterness but overall it was solid.
