Salty-sweet, chocolate and hint of vanilla nose on this one! Nice aromatics that, unfortunately, dissipates a little when it warms. The taste follows with a velvety-smooth, almost chocolate syrup-like swallow...that has a hint of vanilla creaminess on the finish. As it warms, though, the vanilla disappears a bit and the rum takes over. And I mean...really takes over! This one is probably better consumed chilled and on the lower end of the temp scale. Good!

This beer is intense. It almost assaults the palate with (and as a fan of rum, rum barrels, and vanilla I'm surprised to say this) too much rum and too much vanilla. I understand that it's subjective, but this beer is aggressive. Perhaps too aggressive.
