Ready your grill-piece for a flavor-getaway to a mystical isle of pure, unadulterated decadence. We stuff this blend of Barbados rum barrel-aged imperial stouts--which was incredibly lovely in its own right--with inordinate quantities of coconut & cocoa, yielding a tropical dessert explosion viewable from high orbit. You don’t have to wear a hawaiian shirt while you drink it, but it’d be a lot cooler if you did.

Middle tier for the chaos grid series of 2019. Bottles have fallen off quite a bit. I remember this to be a dream of a island vacation lol. The flavors while are still nice have all kind of merged together making it hard to find coconut or chocolate or anything else. What is nice is that I don't like rum beers and the rum plays a hard backseat but still contributes making this a nice easy going high ABV BA beer. Your non beer drinking friends will be impressed

Solidly glossy black through and through with a thin dark mocha head settling to a persistently creamy ring.

Softly delicate and smooth toasted coconut is super forward, pairing with creamy chocolate and buttery pie crust. I don't get a lot of barrel, but I'm also not mad about it, being rum.

Syrupy thick but not too sticky, the smooth body comes to a tingly, semi-dry finish that provides you with just enough forgiveness to keep coming back without feeling too heavy.

Poured into a tulip glass via bottle

Color is a milk chocolate brown with dark brown foam

Smell is sweet chocolate with coconut swirled in. Strong rum barrel presence as well

Taste follows the nose with chocolate, coconut, vanilla and rum flavors all present. Very sweet..all the flavors are blended nicely here but any more of each and the beer would teeter on being a mess..a fine line to walk but this pulls it off

Carbonation is medium and mouthfeel is thick and syrupy

A true definition of a pastry stout but a damn fine one!

Black appearance. Nose is sugar, sugar, coconut, no chocolate. Taste follows, so much sugar, do get very nice coconut and mild chocolate, a little astringent, and nice warm rum barrel does come through as it warms. Does leave behind sugar taste. Feel is good, thick as wanted. Overall is ok. If this had less sugar, it would be excellent as the coconut, chocolate, and rum all marry well
