Poured from a 19oz can into a shaker pint
Look: Crystal clear honey amber with a thick eggshell head
Smell: Crisp and clean. Malty, green apple skins, honey, whole wheat bread, and floral hops.
Taste: Crisp and clean lager notes on the attack followed by a super bready whole wheat malt with raw wildflower honey and green apple skins body. The finish is quenching and clean with fruity lager notes and a crisp floral hop bitterness.
Feel: Crisp, clean, refreshing. Light bodied. Light plus bitterness. Light sweetness. Good carbonation.
Overall: An outstanding beer. Don’t miss out on this one. Excellent job Modern Times.

Can from The Belmont Fermentorium. Canned Oct 02.
A clear Amber with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is a great, clean expression of mildly caramelized Munich malt. Molildly hoppy with a delicately spicy cinnamon like accent, there's a blend of lime and earth here. Exceptionally clean. The palate opens clean and with a nice, bready, mildly doughy Munich malt note, along with a touch of caramel and dark toasted wheat bread. The Munich malt flavor is deep with minimal heft from sweetness/ caramelized flavors but just shy of sufficient fullness on the body. Drying, mildly bitter on the finish with a lingering Munich malt flavor, this beer is moderately carbonated and quite creamy on the palate. Quite excellent.

Dark amber brew with plenty of foam in the thistle glass. Woody is the taste. Just slightly sweet and moderately malty. A hint of butterscotch at the finish along with the dark roasted grain. Aroma of cereal with a touch of apple. Light and sudsy on the tongue. Overall it's extremely drinkable with a more complex and pleasing natch of flavors than you might expect in this category of light German brews. From the tall can purchased at Modern Times brewery tap in San Diego.
