This boss-level version of our beloved pils spent two whole months of conditioning in our fancy new oak foeders, before dry-hopping with Saphir, which brings a lovely, bright citrus & oak complexity to the party without sacrificing any of Ice’s legendary crushability.

Can poured into a Modern Times Beer glass
A: Pours slightly hazy with a golden straw with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces very nicely.
S: Toasty oak, grassy, floral, some coriander like spice, light citrus zest, a bit yeasty, and crackery malt.
T: Bright, grassy, floral, a little coriander like spice, citrus zest, tangerine, lime, and lemon, toasty oak comes though nicely, hints of coconut, faint fruity and yeasty notes, and some crackery malt to round it out.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly creamy.
O: I'm not usually a big pils guy, but this one sounded interesting and unlike anything I've tried before. Boy howdy, was it; really glad I grabbed a can. Everything works together nicely. Definitely not your every day crusher, it's a bit more elevated and elegant.

Clear yellowish amber brew with long-lasting stiff foam in the Maredsous goblet. Very pervasive aroma of toasted oak. Lush carbonation with a mouthful of suds to the bottom of the glass. Saphir is a variety of newer German noble hops from the Hop Research Center in Hüll. It's a little spicy with a mellow citrus taste.
Modest bitter aftertaste with the long-lasting woody notes. Overall this is a more interesting version of the Pilsner style. Very drinkable with the aroma and spritz in every sip. From the 16 oz can purchased at the MT brewery store in San Diego.

On tap at Playground in Santa Ana, CA.
This one is straight up like my baby mama when she ain’t feelin’ it. (And if you have to ask what “it” is, then you need to do your homework.) Like, this one is straight up a woody Pilsner. You know, probably like Woody the Wood Pecker would dig. It’s light, refreshing, and has a quality oak to it like Estella Warren’s backyard balcony.
Yep!
