Bottle from the Belmont Fermentorium.
Gushing like crazy, this beer is a hazy light orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is a tasty blend of grainy, straw like pilsner malt and gin botanicals. Orange peel and juniper are most prominent, and there's also a light sulfur note, a little earth, vanilla and dust. A little honey is present as well. The palate opens with a ton of gin flavor, lots of bright orange peel and festive juniper with a little pine, more citrus, some mint and delicate spice notes. Despite gushing, this isn't overcarbonated, which is a pleasant surprise. Notes of bitters are present, really calling to mind an Old Fashioned. The base pilsner is clearly obliterated here, all I get is a blend of gin and wild yeast notes. Drying, mildly watery on the finish, this is quite tasty.
